9th Solar Learning Lab launched in South Africa
24 June 2016 marked the launch of Dell’s 9th solar learning lab in South Africa at Waverly Girls High, in partnership with the Sci Bono Discovery Centre. The labs are constructed from standard shipping containers and harness the energy of the sun through the solar panels which line the roof.
These labs will provide technology access to the students, parents and community members in the surrounding Alexandria and Hillbrow area’s that the student’s travel from. “We believe that access to education and technology is not a luxury, but a necessity,” says Natasha Reuben, Head of Transformation.
