Summer is Here
With the holiday season upon us and being one of the hottest times of the year in South Africa, summer has set in with a bang! To kick start summer the local team were treated to some much need frozen yogurt to cool off during the blistering heat. Blueberry, vanilla, fruit cocktail and strawberry were on the menu, with delicious toppings such as fruit gums, chocolate chips, strawberry sauce, nuts, the team were spoiled for choice....
Balebogeng Ndima
Balebogeng Ndima is Grade One pupil at the Pretoria School of Specialised Education. She is a quadriplegic and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. For the past three years she has been confined to a wheelchair that is too small for her growing body. Dell has been able to invest in a two new wheelchairs and orthopedic shoes, all of which have been specially fitted for her needs.
Heritage Day Celebrations
The local Johannesburg team celebrated Heritage Day with an annual lunch. All dressed in their cultural attire the team shared food, traditions, beliefs, and laughs and had lots of fun. From delicacies like maponi worms and chicken feet from the Venda and Zulu people and curries and savouries from India to delicious rissoles from Portugal, not forgetting our very own biltong. Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the local Dell team participated by doing a walk around the campus grounds and running on treadmills to bring awareness to the disease. Every year, thousands of children across the globe are diagnosed with cancer, an illness that is life threatening in the majority of cases.
